BOOKSTORE INFORMATION

The bookstore portion of this web site works via an associate/affiliation program. In these programs this site acts as a index to the major international bookstore chains that provide the listed texts. When you purchase a book you are buying it not from me, but rather, from these major chains. This is ideal for the consumer because you do not have to worry about dealing with a small business like myself. All of the orders, handling, and shipping are carried out by my dealers, whom are all award winning and world famous for their levels of customer service. Also these dealers provide 'secure servers'. A secure server insures that no one can steal your personal or credit card information during any transaction. Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been invested into the creation of these safety protocols.

I have three major associations:

Amazon.com - the worlds largest bookstore & the premier online business. Amazon.com is one of the golden childs of the stock market and has quite possibly created the current boom in online services.
Amazon UK - this is the United Kingdom division of Amazon.com
Chapters - this is Canada's major book chain (similar to the U.S.'s barnes & noble) they have spread across the country like wildfire and are now considered one of Canada's most successful businesses.

Why have I made 3 separate associations? Its simple. By making three associations I have made it easier for users to save money via the elimination of duty and customs hassles that occurs when you have to make international mail orders.

Why should you buy online? You will probably find you are saving a lot of money on the books. I encourage you to check your local dealers first, if its cheaper there buy it. But you may save big bucks getting it here.

Why do I even offer books for sale? Am I making tonnes of money? I decided to offer the books for sale because it made my site a more complete 'one stop' source for forensic psychology. Making tonnes of money would be nice... The bookstore has been open for 6 months now ... There has about two dozen books purchase (all received successfully I might add) and I have not even made $10's yet. So I'm definitely not in it for the money.

What will I do with the money once it gets big enough for the companies to even bother sending me a check. I hope to use the money to get a domain name for this site... That means that the sites web address would be something like www.ForensicPsychology.com rather then flash.lakeheadu.ca/~pals/forensics/index.html which is just nasty.
