THE LATEST NEWS
February 25th, 1999!
Someone emailed me a forensic psychology job posting, so I decided
to create an appropriate area for it. While there is only one listing
there now I hope to find some more while I search the net so I can expand
the area. If it gets large enough I will break it down by geographical
location (U.S., Canada, & International).
The Testimonial section has been updated.
The newspaper has been updated... I hope to do this every
weekday. I missed two days this week for exams but I couldn't find
anything newsworthy anyways so no one missed out! You should check
out the newspaper its great.
Tommorow will be the first new version of my Newsletter.
In the past I used it only as a notice of site changes. However the
new expansion is a major improvement and hopefully will make the site a
bit better!
I added a mission statement if anyone is interested.
Just so you know I have a lot of great ideas for improving the
site. They may take a few months to get going (I have exams and a
thesis to worry about) but they will be up eventually. So keep checking
back!
February 20th, 1999!
Well for the most part the Virtual Library is completed.
I still have to get some of the pics of book covers and fix some of the
outside of U.S. book dealer links. The section will continue to expand
monthly with new reviews and releases, new books of the month, and new
authors of the month!
Also why not check out the forensic newspaper! Its been
retooled and I am trying to update it daily during the work week (not much
news on the weekends). I've tried to make it look like a more legit
paper so when I can find one you will find pictures etc. with the articles!
Why not check out the message board. It is finally moving,
and I'd love to here what you think about the site and what sections you
like the most! Only through your imput can I improve this site into
the direction that users would like!
My 2nd Forensic Psychology page is up. I am the editor
of the Forensic Psychology EJournal @ Suite 101 ... Here
is the link! Right now you will find one editorial, opinion polls,
message boards, and a best of the web link section. Starting March
1st editorials will be weekly. Here's whats up:
(1) Forensic Psychology: The Misunderstood Beast (Part 1)
(2) Forensic Psychology: The Misunderstood Beast (Conclusion)
- Available March 2nd.
(3) A yet untitled psychological evaluation of the Canadian
Child Pornography ruling/debate - Available March 9th.
If you have an idea for a potential editorial that you would
like me to explore email me the idea by clicking

February 14th, 1999!
Well I started the bookstore/reading section retooling.
I may have gone overboard but it is going to look fantastic when I'm done...
The new format however takes a VERY LONG time to do so some sections may
be offline for a few days (luckily I'm on spring break this week so it
shouldn't take to long to be functioning) ... I've changed its name to
'The Virtual Library' ... it is is now very large and well organized.
Some cool new features have (or will be) added that will make this site
even better! So keep your eyes peeled for all the new things!
February 1st, 1999!
I'm thinking of retooling the bookstore component of
the recommended readings section. My mailing list informs me of my
most frequent users geographic locations, several dozen of which are not
from the U.S.. Therefore, through that knowledge and several user
requests I am going to be offering both Canadian and UK versions of the
bookstore. That way many users will be able to avoid the hassles
of exchange and customs. Not all books are available from my international
affiliations (i.e. Britton's Jigsaw Man is available only from my UK dealer).
This process may take a few weeks. My main concern is that I might
be making the recommended readings section look to much like a store.
I don't want this. I am going to try to incorporate the bookstore
section in passively.
January 22nd, 1999!
Great news! We have recently been evaluated by Psychwatch.Com
the internets premier guide to psychology and psychiatry resources and
news. Not only did The Database score higher then any other forensics
resource, we are now a featured site that will be showcased in their weekly
newsletter!
What does this mean? Well much more traffic for sure,
including professionals (Psychwatch.Com has over 10,000 professional members!).
So I will again offer online space for anyone who would like to submit
a forensics related article, paper, or notes! It can't hurt to get
your name out there!

Recent Additions:
-
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) sheet updated
-
Paper: Aggression Typologies and Their Forensic Implications
-
Forensic Conference (australia) added to Events Listings
-
3 additions to the "Fictional Representations"
-
Article Database: 60 new articles added today!!! (200 more this week!)
With the recent additions to the "Article Database" we now have
over 120 articles available, which is great! However, I have been
endlessly searching the net and I have found a mother load of new articles
(we should be up to over 300 articles soon). To make the site more
manageable I will be splitting up the database into several pages.

You may have noticed that new banner on the main page for "Academic
Assistance Access" this is not a sponsor for me... It is just
such a fantastic link for students that I had to add it. AAA provides
100% free online tutoring for secondary and post-secondary students in
a variety of subjects, including psychology. I'm one of their tutors
so I know its legit. If you have any problems you should check it
out!

I am going to try to find a good onsite search engine.
This way you will be able to search the entire site & hopefully all
the 100+ articles for the information you are looking for. I am having
trouble though finding a good search engine, so if you know of any please
EMAIL ME!
If anyone cares I've added a picture of myself to the "All
about Me section"
Keep checking back for our
newest additions!
