I am the Forensic Psychology editor for Suite 101, a multi-disciplinary electronic journal.  As the editor I write weekly editorials and articles, evaluate incoming forensic psychology resources, and manage a forensic psychology communication group.

Tutor, Psychology
Academic Assistance Access, 1999 - Present

I provide free of charge online psychology-undergraduate tutoring for Academic Assistance Access, a non-profit secondary and post-secondary academic advancement program.

Chair
Psychology Association of Lakehead Students, 1998 - Present

As chair of Lakehead University's undergraduate psychology association I am responsible for numerous executive and public relation duties. I personally have taken the associations duties into a more academic related realm, including close associations with the psychology department. I also took part in the creation and implementation of psychometric testing on behalf of the association.

As a member of the PALS executive board I carried out a number of public relations and information gathering projects. I also encouraged others on the board to aid in moving the association into a more professional realm.

Web Page Designer
1997 - present

Designed and created internet world wide web pages for the "Psychology Association of Lakehead Students" at Lakehead University as well as an internet guide to forensic psychology and the behavioural sciences.  I am currently in talks with the Brant County Crisis Response System regarding the development of a community mental health based web site.

Research Assistant
Brantford General Hospital, 1996

Conducted research projects for the hospitals mental health division.  Responsibilities included conducting client interviews in order to gather data for the studies.

Graphic Artist
Forward Health Services, 1995-1996

Designed and produced business cards, company logos, and letter heads for Forward Health Services.  A mental health adminsitration and capacity assessment firm.

Ontario Experience Student, Nursing
Ministry of Health, 1994

I was responsible for all psychiatric nursing tasks (with the exception of medication administration) in an acute care psychiatric hospital. I developed and applied skills such as communication, human relations, conflict resolution, therapeutic recreation, observation of mental illness, dealing with violent patients, and primary prevention.

Volunteer
Ministry of Health, 1993 - 1995

As a volunteer I managed a number of recreational endeavours for clients of the Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital. I encouraged client interaction on a 1 to 1 basis.

Peer Counselor
Lakehead Board of Education, 1993 - 1994

As a peer helper, I provided assistance to grade nine students in their transition to the secondary school system. This position consisted of both academic assistance as well as peer counseling.

Using techniques learned in the Student Enrichment Program (listed below), I provided daily assistance to students requiring psychological aid for school or in home situations.

This program was aimed at teaching advanced learning and counselling skills. Tasks included intense problem solving, counselling techniques, ethics and conflict resolution. Classes included a number of seminars as well as the student aforementioned counsellor program.
